The photograph below, which was taken in the early 1900's, shows
human bodies being sold at market for meat.
Famine was once so widespread in Russia that cannibalism became
an everyday part of life.
Widespread cannibalism continued in Russia until well into the 1930's.

Nice pic... Wasn't aware that people were so starving at that time. I just knew about certain cases of cannibalism during ww2.

ah yes, I believe these were the days when Andrei Chikatilo was just a child or so....in those days, it was wasnt being mugged that you had to watch your back for...it was being kidnapped and having your body parts sold in markets.
