Never witnessed a murder but when I was a young kid I was with some friends and we were looking for frogs and snakes in a park in my area that back then was heavily wooded with not as many trails as there is there now. There are also a couple of ponds. We were on our way out and I noticed a smell as we were walking past one of the ponds and then so did everyone else, just for something to say I joked about it being a rotting body or something and everyone laughed. Then i noticed a garbage bag and it seemed way out of place,it's hard to explain what i mean but you just get a strange feeling when you see it.I said to everyone that it is probably coming from the bag and one of my buddies was really doubtful and said its obviously garbage.I went over to it,checked to see if it was heavy and it was so I said that I thought something other than just garbage is in it and I was feeling a little bit uneasy. So my buddy walks over opens the top, turns it upside down and dumps the contents out. There was a sloshy sound as everything hit the ground and when I realized what I was seeing I was a bit frightened as there were lots of guts like intestines and I am not sure what else but that's the main thing that I remember clearly. My friends and I at that moment did not want to stick around and we got the fuck out of there and I stopped at a neighbors house on the way home and called my mom and told her about it and she thought it was an exaggeration lol but we called the police.Cop came to my house and picked us up so I could take him to where it was and when I showed him he went pale as fuck and so did my mom and he tried to keep his composure while trying to explain to me "It's just chicken guts, someone left it here for the wildlife but the coroner is on their way just to be sure".I have always known though that with the way he reacted that he didn't even believe the shit he was saying lol. As I got older I have revisited that memory many times and know that there is no way that shit came from a chicken because they were way too big, those intestines wouldn't leave room for anything else to even be inside the chicken. Also if it was left for the wildlife why was it placed the way that it was and packaged in such a way that it was obvious that people took their time to neatly do it?.It's obvious that the gutting was done on a clear plastic sheet then folded corner to corner and placed inside the bag, and I believe this because when the bag was dumped out there was clear plastic on top.The incident didn't scar me for life luckily but I do wonder sometimes what came of that and who put it there and were they nearby watching as my friends and I stumbled across it.
Another incident still not murder and kind of unrelated but the concept of witnessing death is still the same.On April 19th of last year my best friends dad died from pancreatic Cancer and Cirrhosis of the liver. He had it for a long time but he didn't tell anyone not even his kids. Then one day he had to go to the hospital and he didn't say what the real reason was and the doctors also didn't say anything because he requested that they don't and he also signed a DNR.So the day that he went into the coma that's when it was revealed and I was there at the hospital with my buddy and my mom in the hospital room, we were there for a few hours and then we watched him die and its really hard to put it into words how I felt because I have known my buddy and his dad since I was 4 years old and I hardly knew my own dad.My buddies dad was always there for me while I was growing up and I was always treated like I was part of the family. After he was gone I just sat there for almost 2 hours just thinking about everything and was having a hard time accepting that he was actually gone and it felt almost like a dreamlike state of mind. The memorial was tough and when it came time for people to do speeches and stuff I couldn't make myself get up there because reality really started to set in and I couldn't handle it but there was a book to write memories in so I did that instead,I just kept writing and writing and pages later I thought that I better stop because there wasn't much paper left and I wanted to leave some for anyone else that wanted to write. I am pretty sure that I went off topic a bit but the way I see it is that Cancer murdered my best friends dad. |
