Father Throws Daughter into Boiling Vat of Water.

Taken from:

http://www.weirdasianews.com/2009/04...boiling-water/

The story:

A 10 month-old Taiwanese girl was severely burned at the hand of her father last week in Taiwan.

Mr. Huang, a 47 year-old alcoholic noodle factory owner, had been out all night drinking with some friends. When he returned home, very intoxicated, his girlfriend and the baby’s mother, Ms. Lin, was extremely angry and they began to argue.

Lin was holding their baby in her arms and at one point in the argument, dared Huang to throw their daughter into a gigantic wok of boiling water.

Huang, furious and angry, jumped over and snatched his daughter from Lin and dumped her into the boiling water.

Lin in shock, managed to pull the baby out of the boiling water, but it was too late as 90% of the babies body was scalded.

She tried to cool the baby by running cold water on her and removing her clothing, but it only added to the babies pain as parts of her skin fell off.

Lin ran with the baby to her house, where her brother rushed them to the hospital.

A doctor described the baby’s pain as ‘being slashed by a thousand knives’, and almost 10 times worse than labor pains.

When the police arrived at the noodle factory to arrest Huang, they found him standing there cooking noodles as if nothing had occured.

Huang later told the police that he “didn’t mean to put the baby in the boiling water. I really regret what I did after having a drop too much.’

Initially the baby’s condition looked to be improving, but Monday night, she took a turn for the worse.

3 days later, the 10 month-old girl died from multiple organ failure.

“We respected the mother’s wish not to defibrillate or perform cardiopulmonary resuscitation and we gave the baby all the medication we could, including antibiotics. Unfortunately, the girl left us at 10:05am,” Changhua Christian Hospital emergency room supervisor Chou Chih-chung (周志中) said.

“It was just too painful for her,” the mother said.

There's the problem right there. She refused cardiopulmonary resuscitation? I won't try to figure out why she disided to make that ultimately stupid decision, but I will say that if she was in Canada, the doctors would do everything possible to save that childs life.

Rest in peace, little one.

The father should get the same treatment.

You don't seem to understand the situation. The baby died from "multiple organ failure". It wasn't a case of a simple sun burn. The humane thing the mother did was to let the child go.

There's nothing to do in cases like this but seek to ail the victim in his/her last moments. When subjected to such severe pain and damage, anyone would go into general shock, followed by a short period of relative stability, until the organs start to fail. Even from the beginning, the chances of survival are very slim.

Moving towards the father, I'd really enjoy to dress him in rough linen clothing, dunk him in boiling water then take them off - together with his skin - and at the same time squeeze lemon juice on him to "cool him down".

And lead to years and years of suffering, not just the pain from being burned over 90% of her body, but also the emotional anguish from the scars she would likely have had.

I have a friend with a small burn, and she's gone through hell over the emotional impacts from that.

The mother had to weigh saving her child's life against the quality of life she would have had. That's something no parent should ever have to do. And with the amount of burning, it was likely that even had they performed CPR and brought her back, she would have died later from other complications anyway. 90% is a lot of burn, you usually don't survive over 75% anyway if I'm remembering correctly.

I'm not sure what to think of this mum.......a fool to dare a drunk not to do something (although I doubt if she, in her wildest imagination, ever thought the cretin would throw his baby in boiling water). On the other hand how brave of her to call a halt to life extending measures.

So I read the story before really viewing the pics, and either I'm fucking blind or did it say She dared her hubby at 1 point to drop the baby in the boiling water during the argument?

Yes the father done the deed, the mother fucker should be shot in the head for this. But what kind of mother says this about her kid?
