Yeah. In this case I think the best thing was to stop the attempts at keeping the child alive and end the pain.
I hate seeing innocent kids go through this kind of thing, and the father, as stated should have to endure the same kind of pain and then some.

Innocent children shouldn't be used as objects so someone can say "I'll show you". Fucked up. Sad for the mom and child.

Huang, furious and angry, jumped over and snatched his daughter from Lin and dumped her into the boiling water.

--The mother sould n't have argued with her drunk husband in the first place, daring him to do what he did. That idiotic bitch! Better she'd run out with the child and return when he sobered up! Goddamn idiots! I hope she never gives birth again!

Refusing CPR was a wise and selfless decision on the mother's part.

In this and similar situations, resusitating a patient only serves to prolong their suffering. It cannot fix the underlying problems which caused cardiac arrest in the first place- so they still end up dying- just after suffering some more.
