No. I was never religious and I probably never will be. And I think most people who are were induced by their parents when young.

The only Jesus I will believe in is the one who mows my lawn every month.

I agree.. My parents made me go to a catholic school for like 10 years.

I am no longer religious.

being religious and believing in a god are two different things. one can believe in God yet not ever set a foot in church. it is sad that being religious today is synonymous with extremism and robot-like indoctrination. nothing of the sort.

yet I argue that it is not until you hit rock bottom and begin to question whether the coils that keep grounded on this mortal plane are all there is. I say they aren't.

Thanks for that post Mondo. I was going to state the same thing you did. Believing in God, The One, The Great Mystery...whatever you want to call it, and being religious are two totally different things.

But to answer that question, yes. I believe there is some greater power out there. I call it the Universal One. Or Universal Energy.

^ so do I but I also believe there's a higher benevolent Being and higher purpose for us all. the two schools of thought are not all that mutually repellant

Ok, I believe in evolution without there being any higher purpose for us or any higher power/being. It was all just a lucky accident
