http://www.azcentral.com/news/articl...ting05-ON.html
A shooting early this morning in central Phoenix critically wounded a motorist and shut down northbound I-17 at Bethany Home Road. Authorities said the victim apparently had been chasing his ex-girlfriend and her current boyfriend in the woman's car when he clipped the car, causing it to crash on the freeway frontage road about 2 a.m. Investigators said the man in the car that crashed then got out and shot several times at the other man, hitting him five times. The wounded man was taken to a hospital in critical condition. The shooter was taken into custody for questioning. |

Phoenix man allegedly shot and killed his brother and left his other brother in critical condition before turning the gun on himself early Thursday morning near Van Buren Street and 35th Avenue, Phoenix police said. Alejandro Silva-Almazan, 21, was pronounced dead at the scene from a self-inflicted gunshot wound. Gerardo Silva-Almazan, 22, was also pronounced dead at the scene from a gunshot, according to police. Jesus Silva-Almazan, 30, is currently in the hospital in critical condition. Alejandro, Gerardo and Jesus Silva-Almazan were brothers who worked together, according to police. Police believe the three brothers were having a job-related conflict. Alejandro went to Jesus' home and confronted his brothers about the job-related conflict, police said. Police said they believe Alejandro shot his brothers and then shot himself. Family members were inside the trailer home at the time, but did not witness the incident, police said. The family members heard the gunshots and went outside to find all the brothers shot, according to police. |
