In these threads, everyone always picks the obvious ones first, so all that's left is to name the more obscure ones. Maybe people will check out movies they never saw or even heard of before. But I was surprised no one mentioned Dead Alive though.

Not sure if any of you guys have seen this one.
It's an old cult classic from 1972 called, 'Children Shouldn't Play With Dead Things'.
Great for parties and laughs, with some freaky scenes as well.

I don't know about you guys...But i never really considered the 28 series to be Zombies at all...I mean they don't eat human flesh, they don't technically DIE and come back to life. So how can they be Zombies? I did enjoy watching the movies...But i still say they're not Zombies.

I mean really, think about it.

I watched it the other night and loved it, gore plus lots of dark humor.

I usually don't enjoy most zombie flicks because the plot is thin and characters are not compelling, at which point ya just wait for them to all die off.

This film was fun. Good production quality, the acting was excellent, the characters all vibrant and funny, lots of sarcasm, I enjoyed it more than Shawn of the Dead (both were good but this made me laugh more, probably because i could understand more of what was being said, i am American).

But of course it not "scary" in the usual zombie film sense, in fact the zombies are the victims for the most part, all with great personalities, the living people are the sadistic killers.

It is a must see for anyone that loves zombie flicks. Report back after and tell me what you thought.

A lot of the movies I were going to list have already been mentioned. Have you tried City Of The Living Dead yet? There are some quite memorable gore scenes.
