Watching vids on theync.com: an alternative method

if you've been to the theync.com, then you're probably familiar with that site's issue regarding video buffering; basically, playing videos on their pages fucking sucks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!.

i sometimes find myself grinding my teeth and clenching my fists as i wait for the fucking vids to buffer-play-buffer-play-buffer-play-buffer-play-buffer-play-buffer-play-buffer-play-buffer-play-buffer-play-buffer-play-buffer-play-buffer-play ... aarrrrrrr!! man!! i can't stand that shit!!

just cache to whole god damn video! fuck it!

so, i wrote a filter that will allow the player to play the vid after it has completely buffered

this is how it works: theync.com uses SWFObject, which is a new feature in javascript, to embed videos into their pages. what i do is inject some code that will tweak one of its parameters: buffer-length.

i use bfilter
here's the filter:

match_count_limit=1
if_flag=_HTML_
order=500
replacement_type=expression
replace=<<END
so.addVariable\('bufferlength','180'\);
//so.addVariable\('quality','best'\);

if you want better quality vids, then remove the '//' from so.addVariable\('quality','best'\);

now i'm happy as a cow

that's exactly what i was thinking!

i was trying to watch "Super Hot MILF Stripping on Her Teen Lovers Parents Couch". i had a napkin at my side, my belt unbuckled, and my right-hand knuckles cracked. but the thing would load for 2 seconds and then play for 1 second and this would repeat for like 10 minutes! i was like, "siiiiiiigh. this isn't gonna work."
