Sandboxie

Sandboxie - This great anti-hijack and anti-spyware software gives you a protected environment in which to run new programmes downloade from ther web. Here is information from the SandboxIE website... Sandboxie and the Web: SandboxIE allows you to run your Web browser inside a sandbox. This way any incoming, unsolicited software (spyware, malware and the like) that you download, is trapped in the sandbox. Changes made to your list of Favorites or Bookmarks, hijacking of your preferred start page, new and unwanted icons on your desktop -- all these, and more, are trapped in and bound to the sandbox. You could also try a new toolbar add-on, browser extension or just about any kind of software. If you don't like it, you throw away the sandbox, and start again with a fresh sandbox. On the other hand, if you do like the new piece of software, you can re-install it outside the sandbox so it becomes a permanent part of your system. Sandboxie intercepts changes to both your files and registry settings, making it virtually impossible for any software to reach outside the sandbox. It doesn't let nothing get onto your computer unless you want it there. Very cool program. Prevents Trojans and viruses...Something useful and free to look into. Have fun.

BitTorrent
You don't need a separate BitTorrent application to download large files. Simply click a torrent link and start the download.

Content blocker
Remove ads or images - it's up to you. Right-click (CTRL-click on the Mac) on the Web page and choose "Block content".

Add your favorite search engines
Right-click on the site's search field and select "Create search" from the menu.

A lot of torrent sites ask you to use it now as you can disable DHT, i have used it for quite a while now and have no problems with it at all

What's a torrent? Isn't that also pirated software? Or people use a torrent to pirate software? After that Mario thing I don't want to get into any more trouble. lol I know a torrent makes a bigger file smaller for an easier d/l but it's a lot slower to d/l. Torrents seem to be more of a hassle. I don't know.

The program to dl stuff is freeware. What people do with it is none of our business, it is also used to transfer legal material very quickly. It makes downloading large files a lot quicker as you connect to multiple computers and share, rather than 1 or 2.

Does it give you the option to d/l only certain files within the torrent? Sometimes I only want certain files without having to d/l a massive torrent, and BitLord gives the option to selectively check the ones you want.
What I don't like is that it's a massive, massive program that eats up way too much memory...

Yes it does, when you open a torrent it brings up the list of what is included and you just uncheck what isnt needed. Also it isnt too hungry on memory etc. like bitlord and azureus.

Azureus is faster than any other bt client ive used, but yeah it eats resources like Mornblade in a pie contest

i run azureus because it seems pretty fast and has all the functionality i want, but it doesn't quite eat up that many resources. i find that i can still do most tasks with no problem while it's running, although i do notice that some things take a second or two longer than normal.
