Used it, went back to azureus. Nothing wrong with either imho, just that im more comfortable with azureus, and its seeding all my shit anyway.
Azureus needs java installed though, thats the 'resource' sucking bit. (not that i noticed anything)

uTorrent is quick, but then so is azureus when setup right. Both clients FTW.

you didn't get the joke, but that's ok. i understand. i don't think you were around long enough on ogrish to get it.

OBontopic: i've experimented with several bt clients and they each have strengths and weaknesses. most of them have more weaknesses than strengths, and there are really only a handful that i would consider worthwhile. in the end, however, it really depends on the end user and what their needs/wants are. some like to have a spiffy gui with skins and all that crap, others simply want no-frills. my needs lie somewhere inbetween (leaning away from the spiffy crap). form follows function, but some form is nice.

Firefox question:

Is anyone familiar with the little toolbar that pops up when you type an apostrophe, such as "you're" or something similar. It doesn't pop up every time, but any time it does you can't get a word in edgewise if it contains an apostrophe.

I would be grateful if someone could assist me in the removal of this useless tool from Satan's loins.

That is a fairly common bug with Firefox, this is what I found at mozillazine, hope it helps:

"A search on apostrophe or "find as you type" should give lots of hits. If you are NOT in a text field, ' is intended to bring up quick link find. When it happens in a text field it is a bug, one that has been very hard to pin down.

Here is a couple threads about it:
http://forums.mozillazine.org/viewtopic.php?p=2360035
http://forums.mozillazine.org/viewtopic.php?p=2304548

Remote desktop makes this worse, as do some kinds of spyware, as does using more than one firefox window instead of doing all browsing in tabs of one window only. Some people don't see this problem, some do a lot. Try the searchhotkeys extension, but that may be enough, so you could try avoiding the things I mentioned above. Some say that the nightly (pre-2.0) builds may be better, but some say they aren't."

Thank you, bobby.

To anyone else who may be having or will one day have this problem, do this:

Download this extension into firefox by clicking on the link below:

http://nic-nac-project.de/~kaosmos/index-en.html#searchkeys

Once downloaded, you need to install it. When you click to install the extension you will be be prompted with a message that says "Windows cannot open this file"; when you get this message, choose "select the program from a list" option and locate the file firefox.exe , which can typically be found by following this path: C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox

After your installation, restart Firefox.

After Firefox has been restarted, enter exactly this: about:config into the address bar (where you type web addresses).

then,

Enter: searchkeys.disable.all in the filter at the top of the page that pulls up.

then,

Set searchkeys.disable.all to "true" by clicking on the entire row.

Then, close firefox and reopen it and that should work.

You wont like WMP 11 then, it seems to be even slower then 10 was. Not that my system is shit or anything, it just seems to hang a bit more.
With streaming vids it fucks up every now and then.
Maybe its the new GUI and this URGE music crap they bundle with it.
