Arrow How To Use the Search Feature

Use this guide to help search if somethings already been posted

http://forum.uncoverreality.com/search.php

This is the way I have it setup. Experiment what works best for you

"Keyword(s):"
Whatever you want. Play around with the words. Add or subtract words. Sometimes you will find something with only one word, sometimes two or more or the title of what you're trying to post. It will take some time to get used to it but after a few days or less you'll get the hang of it.
The drop down box just below "Keyword"
Click "Search titles only"

"Find Threads with"
Leave the default.
"Replies" next to it, leave the default “0”

"Find Posts from"
This is up to you & what you may be searching for. Some searches will give a few results & some will give you 80 pages. Play around with it for the topic your looking for.
The one next to it "Find posts from" leave at default.

"Sort Results by"
I use "Relevancy or "Title"
Next to it leave the default

"Show Results as"

Check "Posts"

"Search in Forum(s)"
Self explanatory. Don't choose "Search All Open Forums' If a Gore type video choose “Audio & Video”. Funny "Funny Videos" & so forth. This will cut the number of results you come up with way down.

"Also search in child forums"
Probably leave unchecked.

Again, play around with the settings & see what works best for you

If anyone is willing to help/add any tips to this please do so if it helps clarify what I am saying or your tips for searching. It will be much appreciated

The Update Checker will scan your computer for installed software, check the versions and then send this information to FileHippo.com to see if there are any newer releases. These are then neatly displayed in your browser for you to download. Please note that not all programs are supported.

The search function works very well. However, it's slightly disconcerting to note that a search for the term "moronic idiot" brings up 2,675 results, whereas searching for "well done" or "thank you" show zero results.

So maybe this a first . . . well done Curdled_Pus, and thank you for taking the time to post that info.

Incredible. You are soooo right. That's a great observation. I used the phrase "well done" with all possible option combos & it came up with "0" every time. That is funny & disappointing. Our little man PPM hired that's hiding in the server ready to search for us has failed!
And thanks for the input
