Castor Bean Plant
*Made a slight adjustment to the thread title.
![]() The castor bean plant is the most poisonous plant in the world. Consumption of the seeds or leaves can and will result in death of a human, if not treated in time. Can grow up to 15' tall. I bought a packet of these seeds via mail, simply due to the size of the plant. I have a lot of planting room in my yard and needed some empty space filled. After they started growing like wild, only then did I move forward with additional research and learned exactly how dangerous they were. I had planted these in my front yard right near the sidewalk where kids play, etc. So do I pull them? Nope - went to all the neighbors homes with kids and warned them to make sure their offspring don't play in my yard. I was nice about it, but well... you know. Got rid of them though. Couldn't risk finding a dead kid or dog near my mailbox. |

Moonflowers
Reaching the circumference of dinner plates, these flowers bloom only at night. As soon as the sun starts to rise, they close up.
I can't grow these. I tried. The scent is supposed to be that of 'heaven,' but that's all I know. If anyone can elaborate, please do. |

Great post Yhtac! 5*! Love looking at this type of stuff. I used to have a book (dont know where it went) that had a detailed description of an apple like fruit that was discovered shortly after America that when the hungry people started eating it, it would burn out their stomachs and throats (

They were only tiny ones, I assume because it was quite an exposed hollow they were living in - wind would've kept them from growing too much. Thousands of em, but only an inch or so high apiece. |

The only plant ive ever managed to keep alive is a Dracaena/Marginta (thats what it says on the label)- its like a palm tree type plant i guess, with long thin leaves & a woody trunk.
It just keeps growin & growin it now has three palm tree like parts touchin the ceiling & startin to kinda grow along the ceiling. The rest is half way to the ceiling. I love it its like havin abit of a forest in my living room!
