I watched a few documentaries about him, and read aload about him.
The guy was great but, he's dead now.

Pictures don't tell every story. He was already a fucked up kid, who passed his time playing with dead animals and defleshing them in acid. His folks split and he was basically left to live alone and fend for himself, which caused a major abandonment issue; on top of all of his other issues (ie, dealing with his sexuality and deviant desires.) His reason for murder and ultimately, consumption, stems directly from the fact that he couldn't bare to be abandoned again.
