Is this for food? Or just entertainment? If the latter, it's sick, if the former, as much as I like whales, I'll have to say that I don't see how anyone can hold the life of one animal more important that any other. Just as someone from a culture that doesn't kill whales would find whale-killing abhorrent, a Hindu would find our killing of cows repellent. It's purely relative and shouldn't be judged on a subjective level, a life is a life.

So unless you're a vegan/vegetarian, there's an air of hypocrisy to any disgust expressed (unless this killing is just for recreation).

Shark-finning is fucking sick btw. The most disgusting practice I'm aware of.

Agreed. This is no more abhorrent than slaughterhouses in the west.
