Tony Martin was jailed because he shot them in the back while they were running away. You can't claim self defense when they are running away.

Well not really, English law allows "self defense" Ie. if he had shot them in the face or whatever and he was afraid for his life he would have got away with it.

I understand, however completely disagree. This is ridiculous at best and is certainly tilting the scales of fairness in favour of the criminal.

They should've done this when they started banning guns. The narrator is right. A glimpse into America's future? People are going to start getting kicked in the ass and start having to fight and not be so smug and secure and placated with their goodies and their TV and their negroball. Revolution is needed. It's unfortunate that the displacement of power now so greatly favors the state, that any means (or even signs) of a rebellion of the citizens against the state would end up with the government declaring martial law, suspending all rights and laws, and basically completely wiping out any signs of resistance. There would be no trials.

Only carnage. Revolution is not even remotely possible utilizing force in this day and age. The state's power over the citizens is only going to increase over time.
