You know I just don't understand it.
I like the man well enough but hardly think he qualifies for such a distinction. Something doesn't feel right about this.

^We were already doing that. It would never have been paid off any way. Timing is strangely convenient, isnt he trying to decide weather or not to send more troops to Afghanistan?

Considering that the average annual household income in the U.S. is $50,233, and the average annual household savings is $2,558 (about 5%), as of 2008, we're really getting close to everyone spending money just as soon as they get it.
Which is a good thing for the economy on the surface (not so much for retirement), except those are just averages. There are some households that save far more than that, and others that spend far more than they actually make. Everyone gets everything on credit these days, or throws their money away in other ways. Car payments (interest), real estate loan payments (interest), mortgage payments (interest), home, medical and vehicle insurance (wasted money unless and until you need it, and even then it's a waste, better for it not have happened to you at all), credit cards (interest), and so on and so forth. Oh yes, and we spend a shitload on entertainment. If people only bought things when they have enough money to actually buy them, and didn't spend more than they have via credit cards and the like, we'd be in much better shape. That being said, loans have their place. You can borrow money to start a business, then pay back the loan with the profits and end up with a profitable business you wouldn't have been able to start without the loan. But all in all, people spend like complete retards, and the infrastructure of our economy encourages spending money you don't have yet.

I think the Nobel prize winners in actual disciplines always look down upon the peace prize winner as some sort of fag. Can't say those eggheaded bitches aren't spot on this time.

Blacks will just be yelling about something else, like how many packs of Newports you can trade that prize for straight up.

In all seriousness though, figuring out how to get a black man into the White House (even if there's a lot of cream in that coffee) and actually pulling it off deserves some sort of award.
Perhaps a trophy with an inscription that reads: THE BLACK MAN FROM ZERO TO HERO IN ONLY 400 YEARS

Still, in past months we're beginning to see a reversal of trends due to the recession, or more importantly people realizing the buying power of their dollar greatly decreasing. Actually, what we're beginning to see is more debit card use, which is what the credit card companies don't want. So that with the growing trend of debit card use in place of credit, comes the assumption that citizens are more readily aware of what funds they have and perhaps are better maintaining their means for staying on top of expenditures. (ie spending within their means)

uhhh, debit cards carry more fees than credit cards d00d. try annualizing a $35 overdraft fee on a one time $10 purchase. Go ahead, try, I'll tell you if you're correct.
