It's funny how Republicans think it's all about taxes, and selfish ppl who wanna collect a stimulus check (please! I'd never), b/c my decision had nothing to do with any of that. my decision came a couple nights before the election, as I sat down and scanned the policies of each one, I stopped at abortion. Obama - strongly pro-choice, McCain - pro-life, of course. & then I thought about the past 8 years, what the Republicans had done with some of the policies: the 3-month law, letting pharmacists refuse to give the morning after, doctors no longer having to perform abortions OR referring their patient to a place where they CAN get the abortion.
& I thought to myself, "no fucking way I want this in office for another 4 years." I was truly afraid of what they would do next. It was then and there I decided to vote for Obama. I've never had an abortion, or even been pregnant, but I have several friends who have, and this issue is what had potential to affect ppl just like me the most. This issue is directed at and about mostly young women who aren't ready, and the Republicans trying to force us to have the kid anyway. I'm not about to let some stupid redneck have any say in what I do with my body. no way. |

the more things change the more they stay the same. keep people bickering amongst themselves and policies can be set to keep raping and pillaging the nation. divide and conquer. it works every time.

lol @ trickle down effect. But I am inclined to believe when the pockets of the big cats are lined with funds, there tends to be a greater availability to be charitable and make money for the people in your business. The problem is, it didn't work conclusively in the last presidency...
Obviously, the economy is rather dry now. I can't help but think that the BIG businesses and bank owners are deliberately slowing down the economy to prove a point about who REALLY runs things. And to make a statement over what it claims to be socialist propensities/ ambition in federal government. Pretty silly actually.

Wow, basing your entire decision on abortion. You must be comfortable that that's all you have to worry about. |

Look at what the guy had to take over! I say give the man a presidential term before you start leaping to hysterics. He inherited a broke ass economy and a fucked up foreign policy to name but a few of the legacies left behind by the republicans, so it's only natural that he's gonna be wading through shit for quite some time before things start to get better. Get over this race thing too FFS!! How many white presidents have been fucking you in the ass on a regular basis? Seriously, why are people holding him to a higher standard and baying for his blood while he tests the waters. Bush just bulldozed through a massive chunk of your civil rights and you spread your cheeks for him to park his D-9 at the end of the day!
