it's a little short-sighted to only blame the government for this, it's the abuse of credit by the general public that lays at the core of the problem

true and the creditors who gave out loans to people they knew couldn't afford to pay it back. not to mention the adjustable rate mortgages that significantly raised people's house payments. there is enough blame for everybody. but it's the people who run things who deserve the most blame.

People seem to forget how much the debt increased within the past 8 years and the GOP seems to believe that US citizens attention spans are only about 5 or 6 months long. I think they are onto something.

I agree. all the politicians have to do is get up on stage and say jesus and 9-11 a few times and the crowd is in their pockets. people keep re-electing most of the same douche bags time after time. sad really. sad and disgusting.

The Gov't needs to cut the budget, we need to spend wisely, and take a pair of scissors to our credit cards. Of course democrats never believe in cutting the budget, they just want the average citizen to pay our hard earned money to do it.....WITHOUT OUR SAY!!!!

I think everybody should quit paying their credit card bills. fuck'em over. the CC companies have no problem screwing over the customer with hidden fees and exorbitant interest rates. to hell with them. usury is what it is.

lol, the incumbent gets up and says those things and so does the challenger. So why does the incumbent usually get the crowd?

Uncontrollable expenditures. Social Security and and other programs that are entitled to people. I couldn't find very much on google but I still remember some stuff the lectures from my Government and Politics class.

I wish I knew. I hate to say it's because some people are idiots but if it walks and talks like one. I don't profess to be smart but I do know bullshit when I smell it.

Well I know but I don't think that really matters right now, or that you would be completely satisfied with the answer.

I feel disgusted when viewing this.

Congress should have power to coin money, not Federal Reserve Bank.

Federal Bank got income tax passed in 1913 at Congress while almost everybody (House & Senate) went home for Thanksgiving. (without our acknowledgment until it's too late)

Don't loan $$ to Communists and hardcore Socialists.

We ought to use our own oil from Alaska and even sell some to make $$ and not dependent on Arab oil.

Social Security was formed for temporary after the war to tide soldiers over until they all got jobs and homes for their families. But the government decided to leave Social Security ALIVE.

So many things went wrong with our system that our forefathers would be horrified & in shock to see this sickening reality we are in.
