Uh, a large part of the recession, in general, is that people stop spending, so this statement couldn't be any more misleading. So the sense of spending obviously isn't continuous. There are exceptions to a thrifty society in a capitalist model.

Well, my lil brother moved to Winnipeg CA 3 months ago. Nice little town, more demand than supply in the employment department, lower cost of living, free education, health care, better plan of social security for the elderly...

My resume has been posted in many CA websites, and I'm ready to gtfo of the US... 9.7 trillion dollar deficit budget for the next 10 years as I'm hearing CNN.

Just a guess: Obama will ruin America financially which will lead to the election (or coup d'état) of a radical conservative (maybe some bible loving freak). Eventually this might result in a quasi-fascist state with no or only few hesitation to use its nukes.

Kind of like what happened to post WWI Germany.
