A car careers into a crowd of people near a bus carrying Queen Beatrix in the Dutch town of Apeldoorn.

Five people were killed and 13 injured in the incident.

Dutch police charged a man with trying to attack the royal family Thursday after he crashed a car near a bus carrying Queen Beatrix and her family.

Madness!!, but I can't even begin to imagine what would have happened to that driver--with all those crowds there--if this were in Brazil or Venezuela.

However my favorite pic is #5 in the OP above showing the driver with the royal family in the background a few seconds after the car came to a stop...

The guy who took that pic can be seen around 00:12 in the following video, he didn't have a lot of time for it until the first (bicycle) cop arrived on the scene:

Spanktastic pictures - I love the ones where the policemen hadn't even the time to turn around. The driver just died apparently.
