not story , is a war between mafias in Mexico..

La Familia is a gang of south of country , the images is like of days look in the News... is the mode now..dismember the bodies and the head send to the police... and the bodies to the street with more cars..

It is my understanding the Zetas is a ultra right paramilitary group which originally was founded to fight the terrorism created by the cartels, but like every other group, got corrupted by the mighty cash and went to become the "bodyguards" of the cartel's shipments, evolving into their death squadrons.

No, the Zetas were created by a prominent cartel leader, Osiel Cardenas -now in prison- to protect him and his cartel members. This Zeta group is formed by exmilitary special forces, originally trained in the USA and Israel to fight narco groups.

In the second part you're right, the Zetas are very well paid, something like 3,000 dlls a week, to fight against federal police and military and other cartels like "La Familia".
