no no no no no you must never take a fly-swat to one of these hornets. They'll kill you! I'm telling you. And that poor woman earlier that spoke about the shed . For these hornets this is the perfect environment.. They could be multiplying by the hundreds in there and nobody would know until it was too late. If you have ever seen a hummingbird these hornets are about the size of that. A fly swat will only get them riled.

Yes those fuckers are everywhere here in Japan. They usually have two guard hornet who fly around a few hundred meters from their nest and if you wander into their perimeter they go and get the others to come out and kick you fuckin ass!! don't wear black! They fucking go apeshit over black. White is the colour that they seem to ignore. Their venom is actually flesh melting....hence the excruciating pain of being stung. My son loves them and tries to find their nests and poke them with a stick. I keep telling him he's gonna get fucked up, but I think he's gonna have to learn a painful lesson before he loses interest in these monsters. How the fuck did they get over to the states.

Japanese people actually eat their babies. So what an old hornet hunter will do is catch one, feed it, tie a white length of ribbon to it and let it go, then they chase it as it flies back to its nest to tell the others about the free food blissfully unaware that a band of old ladies is hot in pursuit with culinary plans of their own.

And late in the same year were introduced somehow in United States. There have been visual reports of them here by ordinary folks as well as entymologists. The reports I focused on were in Missouri based on that person's concern earlier.

Those giant wasps reminded me of the Cicada killer wasps or as we called them in Texas "Cicada killers"

calm down, friends... it's not as though we're unaccustomed to dealing with armies of generic-looking asian insects invading the world and driving our neighbourhoods to shit
