Are you talking about Diskeeper? If so try to DL again. When you do I will tell you how to refine it to get even more out of it. I'de bet you have not used all 5 methods yet

I downloaded the shareware version from somewhere else. I like it a lot, and has improved my computer speed somewhat. I'm still going to get a new one soon though. When I get my new computer, i'll probably just buy the program(gasp) since I want atleast 1000 gigs of HD space. That program is FAST.

hiberfil.sys is the hibernate file. I don't use it as it's kind of wiggy for some PC'c & Firefox does not like it very well. I just use standby. To shut it off go in your power options via control panel. Uncheck. If you don't hibernate I imagine you can delete the hiberfil.sys. I don't have it on my PC.
Your pagefile is part of virtual memory & works lets say with your RAM in short. Leave it alone. My is 2GB's but I have 4 gigs RAM. (FYI:" more memory is the cheapest upgrade you can do to your PC & has gotten cheaper)
To change the size & I do recommend playing around with the size & do not let windows choose what's best. You do instead. Right click My Computer/Properties/Advanced/Settings/Advanced/Virtual Memory click on "Change" & custom size.
I forget what is recommended to start on size. I'll look in a bit.

Hi. I was wondering, do you know exactly what these two files are? The are located right at C:\ not in c:\windows. They are large files, so I'm just wondering exactly what they are. I see System File, so I'm not looking to delete them.

Did you DL it again? It came out fine last nite for me. I don't like the newest version of it. So I haven't looked. If you find a crack u may not want to check for updates. I installed a patch for mine from their site & the next reboot all copy's of mine was gone. Had to get it from my thumb drive

What would be a good program to use that would optimize my system performance by different ways? (freeing space, checking for errors, cleaning the reg)?
