Widow
In every window, the curtains are drawn.
In the home behind the windows, a widow she mourns. In the widow's loneliness, bitter tears swell She swallows them hard, like poison from a well. A miserable youth, stands by her side. A pocket of bravery, for he never cried. A shaking hand, to offer affection. A shaking head, a waving hand of rejection. A look to the curtains, a look down again Thoughts questioning the reason of pain. This sorrow seeps through him Though never attached. He looks to the widow, with a look matched Walking forward so slow, to the gaps of light. To know that these actions are right. Such a burden for the youth To pull back the curtains and open the truth. The light pulses through her eyes. The tears once there, have now dried. She looks to the youth, the sorrow subsiding. As he stands in one window Where the curtains are open. She sees the sun, above. Above the window. And welcomes the transition with an air of charm. Welcomes the youth back into her arms.

I enjoyed that CR, thanks....quite a scenario.
The drawn curtains resonates with me and perhaps you can relate as well. Obviously you're very talented - artwork, poetry, what's next? ![]()
