Saw a demo walkthrough of this and the frame rate looked unforgivable. And as for "Destructible environments" it all seemed to be in set pieces. Wasn't particularly impressed at all. CoD2 beats it in my opinion.

Dunno about that. Massive single player campaign which really gets the adrenaline pumping at times. Multiplayer is simple as a Sony fan, but enjoyable amongst friends! Worst of the genre would be those shitey Medal of honour games. Those fucking STANK!

single player?? lol...owning bots isn't my idea of fun...re-trying the same tired alley, dodging the same AI bot idiots, respawning or resaving every five minutes in the same assed spot, shooting bots who stay in the same position...?
I remember getting all stoked on the demo and when I bought it I was sick. The game is total garbage. Don't even get me started on the mulitplayer....laughable!!

As for CoD2, I thought it easily had the best smoke effects of any game around. Playing multiplayer and throwing a smoke made for a really fucking fun game, particularly on shotguns only. Like I said, the main problem for CoD2 multiplayer was that it was simple, absolutely no variety. But funny enough for a quick deathmatch. Singleplayer on the hardest difficulty was a fucking chore, but got the blood running. Times where you had to snipe mortar crews whilst the enemy decended upon your position from all sides. Having to progress along trench covered fields into small villages. The bots were relatively poor in terms of AI, but they sure as fuck hit you with numbers and rates of fire. To say that game was easy is just blatantly bullshitting, or admitting you don't play on the hardest difficulty setting. |
