I want to play a game.

In this game, you listen to a video or computer game's main theme music and try to identify said game.

To post your own, Google the theme online, strip incriminating info from the file (title, artist, album, etc.), upload it to zShare, and post the direct link exactly like I've done.

Identifying this song makes you my new best friend, by the way. I doubt anyone will be able to do it.

That's not far off, it's actually Wing Commander IV: The Price of Freedom.

WCIV was the absolute high point of the "real actors in video games" era, with professional actors Mark Hamill (played Luke Skywalker in Star Wars), Malcolm McDowell, Tom Wilson (played Biff in Back to the Future), John Rhys-Davies, and others putting on quite a decent performance, apparently with a massive budget.

The title sequence FMV where WING COMMANDER IV explodes onto the screen as the music reaches a crescendo makes me jizz my pants every time from pure nostalgia.

Could've sworn I remembered hearing that while flying around at Mach50 trying to catch up with a fleeing frigate.

No sounds of fighting, just the stars flying past and the music in the background.
