super metroid question
ok i got the belt-buckle shaped thing from the cave in brinstar, but when i get to crateria i can't activate it. i've tried using the R1 menu but it doesn't let me select it!? i'm eventually going to need it to get through the green door in norfair (the one behind the statue), but i read somewhere that you can only activate it in crateria, but obviously this is impossible. i'm really fucking pissed off at this point but i don't want to give up since i've already invested dozens of hours just to get this far. anyone have any ideas?

i found that, no fuckin idea where but i do have a detailed map of the entire game if you want it. metroid kicks ass btw. only game i ever really liked.

I've actually been playing Super Metroid on emulator recently.
It's awesome to play even fifteen years after its release and doesn't feel dated at all, the sign of a true classic.

I haven't died fighting a boss yet, either (or at all). That being said, Mega Man games own the shit out of me.
