i still only have a ps2 and a wii........i dunno what to buy next a PS3 or XBOX??? which is better as i want to play Resi 5?

i have a ps3 and i never use it. i played a little mgs and beat killzone 2. besides that, nothing. if i'm gonna get games for consoles, i go xbox. i'm mostly a PC guy though. new ps3 looks less like a george foreman grill now...

I got an Xbox 360 when they first came out. No red ring of death so far, but that's because I've played maybe eight games on it in the last four fucking years, and basically nothing this year.

I'm not going to buy a PS3 just so that I can play the 8 exclusives for it that are worth my time.

PC all the way I guess.

i just sold my 60 gb ps3 for 800 bucks and got a new slim, its ok and havn't had any problems i perfer the matt black finish instead of the glossy finish because it doesn't attract any fingerprints or smudges or light scratches that you get from rubbing a cloth over the old ps3's.
im getting some skins for it with skulls on it so it wont just be the plain old black colour anymore.
i bought an extra 2 year warranty with it just incase it fucks up later down the track. i doubt it will. i bought my 60 gb when they came out and it never had problems.

people only get the xbox if they can't afford the ps3 then they come up with excuses as to why they didn't buy the ps3, even though they know nothing about video games or console hardware.

My xbox's drive firmware has been alter, and that's the only reason I haven't brought a PS3. I have NFS shift on the PC and the gfx are all on full due to my 4890... so at the moment i'd only want one for MGS4 and other PS3 games which are only made for it. Even the new up coming Final Fantasy has been fucked over because it needs around 4 dvds for the xbox, where has the PS3 only needed 1, and they've lowered all the gfxs down.... (I'll read this some where but can't recall)... hopefully that's all bull and the PS3 will get full gfx/game play like it should do.

Of course people are saying that Final Fantasy XIII will be graphically dumbed down because of its multi-platform release. That's only to be expected from your typical console gaming retard, even though Square has sworn up and down that it's a bunch of bullshit.

When you compare games released for both consoles, or even exclusive games that are somewhat similar, you can't notice the graphical difference with the naked eye. These idiots spend weeks arguing over screenshots of potted plants, trying to determine exactly how much blurrier the 360 plant is compared to the PS3 plant. That just shows how pathetic it is that they cling so hard onto the need to believe the PS3's graphics are noticeably superior.

Mostly, I think these fanboys are just butthurt that the Final Fantasy series will no longer be a Sony exclusive almost thirteen years after the release of Final Fantasy VII. Many of them bought PS3s for the express purpose of playing Final Fantasy XIII in the future.

Fuck, 90% of the time, games don't use the PS3's full graphics capability even if they ARE exclusive. Though it wasn't exclusive, Fallout 3 played better on the 360 than on the PS3, because the PS3's hardware and software are annoying and difficult to develop games for.

And as for the disc-swapping thing, well, that was standard with FFVII, FFVIII, and FFIX. If anything, it'll be nostalgic.
