Very brave.My grandfathers cousin died there.He didn't talk much about it.

An opposed beach assault is singularly the hardest military task to acheive.
Imagine climbing down the rope net into the landing craft, circling around in formation (ATP 36, as it's known) in a heavy swell, waiting for the signal to go in. Guys puking from fear and sea sickness.
At last the engines are powered up, your beachward. The ramp drops, then the horror begins in earnest.
All are owed a huge debt of gratitude by us.

yeah, it turned out really well. no to hard-working, proud, industrious Germans but ok to middle eastern criminal invaders. Europe has really turned out all the better due to DDay.

what a fucking farce. the mistake of their forefathers are being paid for by today's European youth.

Did you know Patton wanted to roll over the USSR afterwards?

He also felt he lent his sword to the wrong side, and that Hitler was right after all, and rumor has it, was planning a coup. He mysteriously died shortly there after.

All this is documented in his memoirs.

Its a shame all those people died for the spread of communism and world socialism.
