That's some good work there! I especially liked the 7th one and the last 2. That tree is scary! *jealous*

thanks! much appreciated. the last two are models, rather than drawings. i have 1000's of them, all different creatures/armies etc etc. im a big nerd, and spend a lot of time on them, but hey, its fun.
ill post some more of them later when i find some other interesting ones |

its actually two projectors projecting video.
at the time, i was heavily into hallucinogenic drugs, and i had watched children of men under the influence of a lot of acid. i decided that for my final project in a class based on modern use of video in art was gonna be pretty much a statement on how fucked up things in the world appeared to me at the time. the "halo" around the dude in the bed spun around slowly and the center part spun in the opposite driection, and had logos for major corporations and companies such as the FDA, CNN, FOX, MTV as well as faces of bush and other political members, and all that happened while the dummy watched a seemingly pleasant view from his window on the wall, and all of a sudden after 2 minutes, there would be a huge atomic bomb explosion and it would fade to black, and start again. yes, i know the concept is extremely jaded and some what lame. it was pretty well received at the exhibition it was in, and i was offered admission to the sculpture or digital media school as a result, although i never made it that far in the end :/ |

Very nice work. Reminds me of some of my own conceptual high school sketches. I kind of gave up on visual art when I realized that my drawing ability was sub-par vs. the competition.
I think you have a better chance of making it with sculptures. I think there is definitely a conglomerate motif behind your work. |
